As part of this fantastic program, we are offering 240 full scholarships valued at $8,000 each, to be offered to high school students aged between 15-18 years of age across Australia, including 15 Indigenous student scholarships and 24 teacher scholarships to travel to Japan for 2 weeks in December 2009.

In terms of eligibility for the program, this covers:

A High School student who:
- is 15 to 18 upon arrival in Japan on 4 December 2009
- is interested in the Japanese culture and language

A teacher who:
- can help coordinate the students participating on the program throughout the preparation and sending process

Please note that teacher applications close 15th May 2009 and student applications close on 29th May 2009.

Once we review all applications, we will be in touch with all applicants to notify them if they have been successful in gaining an interview, which will be conducted in late June/early July in each state.

We look forward to hearing from you and best of luck with your applications!

ATTENTION! Host families!

I have discovered a school in Japan that wants to host a couple of students from Moruya High every year for two weeks. All food and accommodation is paid for. All you have to pay is for the return flight to Japan. THIS WILL REALLY HELP YOU IMPROVE YOUR JAPANESE!!! Let me know if you are interested.
